Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers sweeps awards! - May 9th, 2008 Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers recently attended the BC Crime Stoppers training syposium in Revelstoke May 1st through 3rd, and are they ever glad they did! The Central Okanagan program was presented the Crime Stopper Program of the Year, Media Sponsor of the Year, and Corporate Sponsor of the Year awards, as well as an Honourable Mention for the Crime Stopper of the Year, Cst. Steve Woodcox. They also took the award for recovery of narcotics - over 5.5 million dollars in 2007. Thank you to a great bunch of people - volunteers, policing authorities, municipal, media and corporate supporters, and staff.
