Lake Country RCMP members have been working on trying to identify a couple who entered a Lake Country store on August 30th and made off with the owner’s wallet.  The pair entered the store and while the male distracted the owner at the rear of the store, it seems the female was stealing the wallet from a purse kept behind the counter.  In short order the tap feature of the credit cards and debit cards were used at nearby businesses.  The thieves were then able to use the cards for cash advances before being thwarted by staff at a bank.  The male is described as being Caucasian, approximately 40 years of age, 5’7” tall with a slim build, pock-marked face and walks “hunched” over.  The Caucasian female, also in her 40’s, is about 5’7” tall with a pock-marked face and has blonde hair that was worn in a ponytail.  The two were seen getting into a black SUV that had a homemade “Thule” type storage container on the roof.
