A volunteer from the Winfield Creek Wildlife Habitat Preserve contacted Lake Country RCMP on December 2nd stating that some vandalism had occurred on the property located on Bottom Wood Lake Road in Lake Country. Suspects entered the property and damaged an inactive fish incubation/spawning system that was housed inside a locked fenced compound located between 2 ponds on the 6-acre property. The suspects kicked open the locked gate and used a pick axe to pry open holding tanks and damage pipes and materials. They then threw two garbage cans containing egg dividers into the lower pond. Damage is estimated at approximately $1000.
