Lake Country RCMP members are investigating the theft of an automated teller machine stolen from a local pub in the early morning hours of December 8, 2020. Two men backed a white van up to the doors of the business located on the 9800 block of Highway 97, broke the glass doors and pulled out the business’s ATM. They loaded it into a white Ford E250 van, later identified as stolen from the Salmon Arm area. Members of the Okanagan Forest Task Force discovered the idling van abandoned on Postill Lake Road with the damaged ATM behind it about 9:30 p.m. that same night. Please forward any information on this ongoing investigation to Lake Country RCMP or remain anonymous by reporting it to Crime Stoppers.
