A Lake Country financial institution contacted Lake Country RCMP on November 26, 2020 when an attempt at fraud occurred. At approximately noon a male approached one of the tellers and attempted to retrieve account information, providing a driver’s license as identification. He was denied access as he did not provide the necessary information required for authorization. The legitimate customer was from another province, had not been in the vicinity at the time and was in custody of all his identification. The person of interest is described as a tall Caucasian male with white hair and was wearing a black jacket with a black mask.
